About The Event

Join us in the stunning Lake District for a weekend of wellness. Yoga, nutritious food, relaxation and more. Our weekend menu is vegetarian and vegan. We cater for special dietary requirements too.

We will explore ideas of yin, yang, balance and harmony through yoga flows and Pilates, stillness in yin yoga and relaxation techniques. You will be invited to explore journalling and meditation. Where will your practice take you?

The weekend will be hosted by;

  • Julia Evans founder of Move With Julia who will be taking Yoga sessions throughout the weekend.
  • Suzanne White from The Complete Retreat will be creating delicious and nourishing seasonal food during your stay.

Suzanne will host a spice workshop, where we will blend spices for curries, dukkahs and granolas. You will be given a recipe handout to take home with you to make some delicious dishes. 

Massage and holistic therapies will be available to book at an additional cost over the weekend

Itinerary

Friday 17th September

Arrival 3-4pm

4:30pm Welcome chat with an introduction to the weekend

5-6:15pm Balance workshop

A fun 75 minute yogalates workshop, pulling techniques from yoga and Pilates to find focus and fire the stabilising muscles for balancing. Steady body - steady mind.

6:45pm Drinks (cocktails or mocktails)

7pm Supper

9pm - 10pm Yin, fascia release and wind down. Delve deep into a late night candle lit practice connective tissues and relief in the nervous system. A calm, slow, passive end to your day. Perfect for just before bedtime.

Saturday 18th September

7:30am Quiet juice 

7:45-8:30 Class - meditation, breathing and journalling

Each morning begins with quiet meditation, breathing techniques, slow movement and journalling, easing you into your day with purpose and a sense of togetherness.

8:30am Breakfast

10:00am Activity - Spice Workshop (optional)

Suzanne will host a spice workshop, where we will blend spices for curries, dukkahs and granolas. You will be given a recipe handout to take home with you to make some delicious dishes. 

11:15am – 12:30pm Yoga Class

A flowing class, uniting breath and movement to find harmony in mind, body, spirit.

12:45pm Lunch

free time

4:00pm - 4:45pm Pilates (optional)

If you're not out walking, having a massage or perhaps relaxing in the beautiful grounds, join Julia for a 45 minute classical Pilates flow, working the whole body in strength and mobility with a strong focus on the core.

5:30pm Dinner

8:30pm - 9:pm Guided relaxation. Some simple breathing techniques and full body scan. The ultimate wind down for a good nights sleep.

Sunday 19th September

free time to have a massage, go walking, reading or simply relaxing. 

11:30am – 1:30pm Yin/yang final group practice and goodbye.

2:00pm-3:00pm Late lunch

3.30pm Depart

This intimate retreat runs from Friday afternoon through to Sunday afternoon at Bracken Hill. Bracken Hill is located just outside Kendal overlooking beautiful Lake District countryside and is easily accessible by road or by mainline train via Oxenholme Station which has direct links to Manchester and London.
