About The Event
The New Year begins with us focusing on the year ahead. We have good intentions and find ourselves setting goals and making promises we intend to keep. How do we lose our way and how can we come back to the path we stray from?
The theme of our Urban Day Retreat will be understanding ourselves and taking responsibility for our actions as a way of setting and maintaining our intentions for now and the coming year.
Together we will find space and time to practice; breathing, yoga, eating well, organising ourselves and planning our time better. We will work through the day together, with calm, support, kindness and a sense of what is possible.
Our Yoga practice will be led by Jonny from Yogeese and commence with breathing techniques & intention setting. We will move through grounding and mobilisation and into a series of flows which will concentrate on nurturing our digestion and internal organs to complement the nutritional guidance, which will follow this practice.
We will flow with the breath and hold our poses for proper alignment and include some inversions (which are optional) to help clear our mind before finishing with a guided meditation.
A complementing Nutrition Session led by Rebekah Esdale from Wild Roots Nutrition (Chorlton Health Hub) that will provide knowledge, tools and motivation to make sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes.
Suzanne will be serving up a healthy, delicious and sustainable seasonal lunch using local produce. You’ll leave with easy to prepare recipes to take home, along with a goody bag to remember your day with us. There will also be nutritious and healthy treats and freshly brewed teas.
