About The Event
Julia has been a member of book groups in Manchester for around a dozen years and is always keen to suggest a cosy ghost story as the nights draw in. She is fascinated by the history surrounding witch trials, from both a historical and feminist point of view. Her mother spent her wartime childhood living in a lighthouse in Lincolnshire where her grandfather was the keeper. So the title of this book ‘The Lighthouse Witches’ spoke to her on a few levels. Julia found it super spooky and impossible to put down and looked forward to rainy evenings so she could cosy up with it in front of the fire and listen to rain drumming on the windows. Carolyn Jess-Cooke’s book is a perfect spooky read.
The exact location of this event will be sent to you after booking.
