The Complete Retreat’s last event of 2018 was a Yoga Supper Club Manchester with Iyengar Yoga teacher Clare Tunstall at St. Clements Parish Church in Chorlton, Manchester. The workshop and supper took place in the Upper Hall which is a large space with an amazing Stained Glass Window. The light in the hall coming through this window is magical and the long dining table was lit by this light perfectly. There were autumn leaves and berries for decoration and chestnuts strewn along the tables all looking gorgeously seasonal.
After the successful Yoga Supper Club Manchester workshop with Clare our guests were treated to Seedlip Botanical Cocktails while they chatted together and we started to put the earthy pumpkin soup with sage oil on the table. Whilst we prepared our guests main course they sipped on a flute of Prosecco and continued their animated conversations. Friends were being made and friends were catching up with each other it was so lovely to hear. The Complete Retreat served for the main course, parsnip, turnip and carrot rosti with toasted quinoa, cavolo nero, chilli tomato sauce and fresh herbs. Everyone’s favourite was the apple, blackberry and bay buckwheat crumble with salted honey ice cream for dessert.
The Complete Retreat and Clare Tunstall have had wonderful feedback from the event some of which I’d love to share with you here;
'You are a very good cook and obviously put in a lot of care and effort. From the fab autumnal table decorations to the truly delicious meal, I thoroughly enjoyed it all. I am not a vegetarian but certainly didn’t miss meat, everything was very fresh and tasty and went well together. My fave was the crumble - the topping was gorgeous and the blackberries were huge and full of flavour. I’ve suggested to Clare that she does a similar event in the summer so I hope see you next year'. Kate (Yoga Supper Club Manchester)
'I had a fantastic time thank you! Was so stuffed all I could do was lie on the sofa when I got home - I think it was the second cacao nutty ball thing that was the final straw. Your food was delicious and the table looked beautiful. Service was brilliant too'
Lindsey (Yoga Supper Club Manchester)
'I'm not sure why I've shied away from Iyengar yoga but it was perfect (I'm really weak!), and Clare's instruction and guidance was spot on. I could follow it and understand why and what I should be doing. Really helpful.
And then the food... Delicious, wholesome and healthy. I felt stretched, calm and cleansed at the end. What more can you ask for?! Thanks again. It was wonderful'.
Louise (Yoga Supper Club Manchester)
The Complete Retreat events take quite a lot of planning to get the details right and to make sure that our guests enjoy each one. Thanks to all!
